DeepSeek R1 : We tell you how to view your DeepSeek conversation history and delete those you no longer need or want to keep
We’re going to explain how to manage your DeepSeek usage history, the Chinese AI chat. This way, you can revisit your past conversations with AI to see an answer it gave you that you liked, or simply delete a group of questions so that it doesn’t appear.

Like all AI chats, DeepSeek will save everything you write in chats. Each chat is a conversation, and it will collect all the questions and answers you’ve given it before starting a new chat or closing the DeepSeek website or app.
We’ll give you the instructions in the web version, however, you can also do all this in the mobile app by unfolding the sidebar. You’ll see that everything is quite easy to manage.
Manage your DeepSeek history
The first thing you need to know is that in DeepSeek you will have several icons on one side. In the web version they will be in a column on the left, and on the mobile version they will appear when you press the menu button. Here you will have the option to start a new chat or to expand this column to make it larger on the web.

When you expand the bar, you will see the entire conversation history grouped into chats. In this history at the top you will see today’s chats, and as you go down you will be able to see chats from previous days. You can click on any chat from any day, and you will access all the questions and answers you asked DeepSeek in that conversation.

To the right of each chat there is a three-dot button that appears when you select it. When you click on it, you will be given the option to delete this chat. With this you will be able to clean up your DeepSeek history, deleting everything that is not useful to you or simply what you do not want to appear in your history. How you handle this is up to you.

You can also use Rename to change the name of the specific chat you clicked on in the options. By default, it uses the first question you ask as its name, but by changing it you can give it a name that helps you identify it better, or to identify content that you find important within it.
